Emma Cary has withdrawn from Quarterfinals due to a back injury. Cary originally suffered the injury during the max lift at the Dubai CrossFit Championship last December. Sadly, the 18 year old will now miss the 2022 season

The Madrid Championship announced their prize purse for the 2022 season of 170,000 Euros. First prize in the elite individual divisions is 30,000 Euros. This is a significant jump from the 10,000 Euros Roman Khrennikov and Solveig Sigurdardottir won in 2021.
